BSNL Launches Penta Tablet for Rs 3,250 to Rival Aakash Tablet

After so much of Aakash from past few days, now its turn of BSNL to spread the word about cheapest tab. The State owned telecom services provider BSNL has launched 3 new tablets with the cheapest model cost tablet for Rs : 3250. This tablet will be a quiet entry into the competitive market of tablets. Datawind has got its own stories to work on Aakash project. While BSNL has released 3 new tablets pricing Rs : 3,250, Rs : 10,999 and Rs : 13,500. The tablet with prices Rs : 3,250 and Rs 10,999 will have a 7-inch resistive screen with Android 2.3 and the tablet with Rs 13,500 price will have an 8-inch touchscreen.

These tablets will be made by Noida based company named Pantel where these tablets will be sold with discounted data plans from BSNL. And according to Pantel, the T-PAD IS701R has 1 GHz processor and 256M RAM with Wi-Fi option enabled. The built in 2GB memory can be expanded to 32 GB. Where as the second model , T-Pad WS704C has 512 MB DDR 3 RAM and can be connected to TV through HDMI. And the last model, T-PAD WS802C is powered with 1.2 GHz processor and 512 MB DDR 3 RAM. This model will contain a in built GPS. Model 2 and 3 mentioned below will contain a capacitive screen which has a better touch screen sensitivity.

Model 1 : T-PAD IS701R (Rs : 3250)

Model 2 : T-Pad WS704C (Rs : 10,999)
Model 3 : T-PAD WS802C (Rs : 13,500)

 

These tabs will be sold with a special data plans and 3g services from BSNL. The basic model of BSNL Penta is just few hundreds rupees more than the commercial version of Aakash tablet. The Pantel website is already showing these tablets to start your pre-booking for all the 3 tablets mentioned above.
