when I ”airtel 3g data card E3531” inserted in computer.then only inserting sound come but not show installing windows.
On opening previous icon also not opening.
On inserting other computer ”driver not found” dialog box come.
Check device manager for any drivers with an exclamation mark. Right click and remove them completely, then insert the data card again, and wait until it completes self installation. It might take around 15 minutes or so, just keep it connected.

hello sir, how can i downgrade my airtel driver software? don’t think am mad, the problem is i upgraded the version of the driver software lately and now can no longer edit or add any new access points so i can not use any sims other than the airtel sim…. kindly reply me sir…. thanx in advance ma dongle is E1731 huawei. or u can help me by finding me an option to edit the APN in the new version which u have told to update for more good experience…. it is god, i admit and thank u for that but its not helpping me to use my docomo sim in it anymore… so please help me..

The only thing you can do is to uninstall the driver software with a application called Revo Uninstaller.. Make sure the driver is completely remove from the registry. That can help you to install a new driver later. Later, when u put your dongle again, you will be asked to install the driver, which is the default old one from the dongle itself. Check this out and let me know if worked for you..

I upgraded to the Connection manager 2.0 as per your advice. But, even with the new software I am still not able to get the speed. It goes max upto 500kbps and that also drops down. I have done all the settings as suggested by the Customer Care like Network Type -> WCDMA Preferred and Registration mode manual. Still no luck. Please suggest any other settings that can be done to get the speed.

Same happened with me too. I used the TCP Optimizer to the full effect and now its giving me upto 2 MBps. Try instaling it and doing it.

The profile settings are locked in the new connection manager.
The default Airtel profile cannot be edited, nor can a new profile be created, to use the dongle with other operators.
Using the Huawei Mobile partner software instead of Airtel connection manager works. Tried with TataDocomo.

Sir, i have a airtel 3g dongle and i have been using it from past 9 months.
I am an active internet user and using this dongle with reliance 3g. i updated the airtel software few months ago and everything was working fine since last month.
I had been facing the problem that my internet dongle keeps on disconnecting and reconnecting itself within few minutes of starting dialup connection.its really frustrating. I tried several times to reinstall the software but of no use.
I contacted the retail outlet, from where i purchased this dongle. But they don’t know where to guide for this repair.
Please, advise what to do. Are there any tweaks which can be applied in win7. Or should i contact airtel outlet for repair.

As i mentioned in the article, you have to completely remove your old Airtel connection manager and install the default one with Dongle and then upgrade it once again. Make sure the connection manager is properly installed in your PC. And there is no problem if you use Reliance or Idea in your dongle, its all about the connection manager which throws the error most of the times.

If you bought it recently, you no need to install new Airtel Connection manager. It automatically comes with 2.0, and if you feel the interface is old, then you update it to new one. and if it says port failed, try to change the port and try. Your post is very informative..Am having unlocked huawei E353 but now it gets dissconected after every 30 mins or so so kindly tel me what can be done?I have used differnt service prioviders but it keeps getting dissconected after some minutes.. i had purchased huawei dongle e303c about a month back from flipkart and using a 3g sim of the service provider “airtel” after frusterated with the speed of 2g from the same provider. the speed was tremendous upload to 700/850 kbps and download to 1/2.5 mbps as and when i applied the settings for the 3g under the option settings of my dongle after activation of rs-250 plan of 1gb/month for 3g.
now after 2 days suddenly to my surprise the download speed was capped to 88 kbps and upload speed is 7 kbps,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,don’t know the solution as the call center of the provider is out for the diwali feast on our expense. please help,,,,,,,,,,,,
If you go over your data limit the speed reduces. You will have to get a larger data pack for sustained 3G use.
The Airtel dongle does not support USB port 3.0, the moment i connect to the usb port version 3, connection manager gets hang and connection terminates.
That seems unfortunate, USB 3.0 is completely backwards compatible with USB 2.0, there shouldn’t be any problems.
I used UNINOR sim in normal airtel dongle(no 3g) and now i have to use Airtel Sim in that.. what settings have to change ?

I have uninstalled the airtel connection manager which I had earlier. Put in the dongle and started the UTPS setup.
I get stuck at “Ready to download files”. I have the laptop connected to the internet via LAN yet no progress. I retried by re-downloading a new setup and still fails. PLEASE HELP!! My dongle connection is dropping frequently on old mgr.
I suggest you download the setup on another PC and transfer it to yours.

Bought 3G Wi-Fi few weeks back. And the day I’d issue with disconnection. I’m only using it as Wi-Fi on my laptop, post plugging the Wi-Fi dongle in electric switch.
Support team is of no use till day. Can’t use this dongle even post 5-10 min after start using it.
Any view how can I fix it?
